Like every year, at pentecost Posticum is organizing jazz concerts. But we were also thinking about some concert-series on the terrace since a time, so this year - finally - our ideas are getting real! Klezmer Concert








Benjy Fox-Rosen and Jake Shulman-Ment Duo, two of the leading young voices of the international
klezmer scene will tour Transylvania, Romania from July 19-24, 2016, presenting a new program of
beautiful and virtuosic splendor. Benjy Fox-Rosen (voice, double bass) and Jake Shulman-Ment (voice,
violin) join together in a duo project exploring Jewish string music and Yiddish songs from Hungary,
Romania and Moldova. Both Fox-Rosen and Shulman-Ment have lived and researched extensively in
the region, assimilating regional styles into their own work as performers. This original and captivating
program is not to be missed!

Founded in 2000 by drummer Balázs Elemér, in 2005 the band received the Fonogram award and participated at several European Jazz-festivals (Vienna, London, Berlin, Hague, Prague, Bratislava, Skopje).

Their style is characterized by the contrast between the male and female vocal line. It is difficult to define the group in a particular style of Jazz because they often borrow and include musical motifs from various different cultures!
